Using Sent

Wallets

Where your wallet lives, how it's encrypted, and how to keep it safe.

Sent Suite wallets are stored in your device's browser, and your credentials are encrypted with your Vault Password. We never want you copying secrets into sketchy places.

Where your wallet lives#

Your wallet data is stored locally in the browser on the device where you created or imported it. That means:

  • It won't automatically appear on another device or browser.
  • Clearing site data or browser storage can remove it.
  • Backups are your responsibility if you need portability.

Encryption model#

All stored wallet credentials are encrypted with your Vault Password. The password is used locally to unlock the vault and decrypt what's needed for actions like viewing accounts and signing.

Rule of thumb

Without your Vault Password, nobody should be able to access your decrypted secrets.

Vault timeout#

You can set a timeout in Wallet Manager so your vault locks itself after a period of inactivity. Once it's locked, anything that needs a signature will ask you to unlock again.

We recommend shorter timeouts on shared devices and longer ones on personal devices.

Quick Sign-in#

Wallet Manager can turn on quick sign-in. When it's enabled, your Vault Password is stored encrypted and used locally to unlock your vault faster.

Convenience, not magic

Only use it on devices you trust. Anyone with access to your unlocked device or browser session may be able to transact as you.

Safety and phishing#

Don't get social-engineered

Be careful with links. Never enter your Vault Password anywhere except the official Sent Suite domain. If someone DMs you "support" links or asks for keys, it's a scam.

How to stay safe:

  • Bookmark the official site and use that bookmark. Avoid "Google roulette".
  • Check the domain before unlocking your vault. Typos and fake "airdrop" pages are common.
  • Don't install random browser extensions claiming to be "trade helpers" or "wallet boosts".
  • Use shorter vault timeouts on public or shared devices.

Platform security#

Sent Suite keeps your wallet encrypted locally and minimizes exposure of secrets. Still, no web app can protect you if you:

  • enter your Vault Password on a fake domain,
  • install malicious extensions, or
  • let others use your unlocked device or session.

Best practice: treat your Vault Password like a private key. If something feels suspicious, close the tab and come back through your bookmark.
